Kingwood Drop off Center

The drop off center provided by the City of Houston is located at the Metro Park and Ride, just beyond Kingwood Library. It can be accessed from Lake Houston Parkway (the Rustic Wood Dr access is usually closed). It is open every weekend from Friday noon to Monday morning. The drop-off center accepts: aluminum and steel cans, including empty aerosol cans,  #1, #2, #3, #4, #5 and #7 (not #6!) plastic bottles and containers, clear and colored glass, paper, cardboard and phone books.

Paper Recycling Bins

Most kinds of paper and cardboard can be dropped in the Abitibi green and yellow recycling bins that you will find in the parking lot of most schools and churches: newspapers, magazines, shopping catalogues, junk mail (even envelopes with windows), flattened corrugated cardboard and phone books. (Please, remove all plastic bags.)

More Recycling

Paper, plastic and metal are not the only things that can be recycled. Visit our Local Recycling Guide for more information or download our brochure.
